I began by sketching initial designs for the mural, incorporating elements that reflected the themes of health and well being. The goal of the project was to help a government run childrens hospital to educate them with figuarative images.
Showcasing basic processes such as how to properly clean hands, how to discard waste and how to maintain a healthy diet.
I also considered the physical space in Yelahanka New Town, Bangalore, where the mural would be painted, ensuring that the design would effectively cover the existing graffiti and enhance the area's aesthetic appeal.

Problem Statement
The local children's hospital is facing significant challenges in promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of its young patients. Despite the hospital's efforts, there are critical gaps in health, diet, and ethics education that need urgent attention. Many children and their families lack essential knowledge about basic health practices, leading to preventable illnesses and complications. This gap in education results in increased hospital readmissions and prolonged recovery times.

Ideation and Sketching
Gathering all the supplies required and putting our digital sketch in a physical space, preparing to paint and add layers.

Painting and detailing
Detailing all the images and using shadows, layers, highlights and blending. We Interviewed locals during the process to get feedback

Final Outcome
Process was complete after we finished two large murals on the outside displaying ethics and four smaller ones on the interior.

My key objectives included understanding how Auroville fosters a sense of unity among its diverse residents through shared values, collaborative projects, and community governance. I also examined the practical implementation of utopian ideals in Auroville's social, economic, and environmental practices. Additionally, I identified the challenges faced in maintaining unity and achieving utopian goals, along with the innovative solutions developed by the community.

Auroville
I began by conducting both primary and secondary research around the theme of unity and the influence of Sri Aurobindo within the Auroville community. For primary research, I surveyed locals in Auroville to gather firsthand insights into their experiences and perspectives on spiritual growth. I created digital mock-ups of the mural using graphic design software, experimenting with different colour palettes and compositions.
With the research data in hand, I moved on to the prototype stage. I began by sketching initial designs for the mural, incorporating elements that reflected the themes of unity and spiritual growth. I included symbols and motifs inspired by Sri Aurobindo's teachings, such as the lotus and the flame, which represent spiritual awakening and transformation.
By following these stages, I was able to create a mural that not only addressed the issue of graffiti but also celebrated the spiritual and communal values of Auroville, bringing a positive impact to Yelahanka New Town. Using the background to create a new image that fostered a better more powerful message, Unity means you are never alone!

For secondary research, I reviewed existing literature on Sri Aurobindo's philosophy and its influence on Auroville. Cleaning up Harmful messages in Yelehanka new Town, This was spray painted across the wall near our college campus and promoted themes of self harm.

The mural not only covered the graffiti but also transformed the space into a vibrant and meaningful artwork that resonated with the local community. Image below shows unity of man, animal, bird and marine life along with the yin yang combining the four elements of nature.
Eating a balanced diet: Dietary benefits and restrictions

Vitamins & Minerals
There is strong evidence that for each
serve of vegetables eaten each day the risk of coronary heart disease is reduced and risk of stroke and weight gain.

Fibre
Dried fruits are a nutritious snack that contain vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants. They can help with digestion, bone health, and reducing inflammation

Fats & Salts
Chat masala often prepared with a high content of salt. Hence, the sodium in salt can have impact on the kidneys and could lead to water retention in the body.

Sodium
Chips are considered bad for you when they are high in sodium because excessive sodium intake can lead to high blood pressure, which is a major risk factor.
